Long fun day

Well today was a good day. Mom and I went to see up. I have to say it is a very good family flick. It was funny and was very intriguing to watch. I give it a 5 out of 5. After the movie Mom and I went to Olive Garden and had the new Lasagna Rollatini with Chicken. I have to say it is very yummy. I love Olive Garden. After eating we went to Khols and I got a new skirt and blouse. I also got 3 new pairs of stud earrings. I have been needing more earrings because I seem to always lose one of a pair.

So now on to the poetry. Here is the revised poem.

Follow Your Heart

Follow your heart for it will never fail you.
It will never give up on your like some people you will meet in life.
If you follow your heart, then your dreams will come true,
Even in the midst of all your life's strife.

Follow your passions and you will gain much.
You will gain more than the world could ever offer you.
Follow your passion and you will gain more than you've ever received.
You will get something that only your heart can offer.

So why listen to your head,
When you could listen to your heart instead?
So follow your heart.
For it is right from the very start.

The next poem is yet another historical poem. It seems that I got into a very historical moment for a while. So here it goes.

War of Persecution

To the left, to the right.
Which is the better sight?
To the left, to the right.
Will I see the end of the night?

To the left, to the right.
Either way may be a terrible sight.
To the left, to the right.
Will I see the tunnel of light.

Nazis, Nazis every where.
Oh what a terrible sight.
I never thought it was hard to be a Jew,
Until Hitler came anew.

Now all I hear is this sad tune:
To the left, to the right.
My fate is coming soon.
I hear the Nazi say “ You to the right.”
Oh, will I see the light?

I find myself standing in a camp full of fear and sorrow.
I guess this is the best of the whole horror.
I find myself wondering what was to the left.
I wonder what I have left.

I am given little food,
How can they be so crude?
Such little water to drink.
Each day I seem to shrink.

I am roused at the break of day,
To work till there is nothing I can say.
Oh, the torture, the misery!
How can all this be?

I keep wondering about those to the left,
Oh, what was to the left?
Was right the better deal?
How could all this be so real?

The days take forever to pass,
And I seem to run out of energy, out of gas.
When will this torture end?
When will I see my friends again?

Alas! The war is over,
Just like a four leave clover.
Out of the unfortunate luck,
I'm pulled out of the muck.

I am already contemplating adding another stanza to the end. It seems to end to suddenly. I know I need to work on some of the ryhmes. Some seem a little to forced. All in all I like this poem. It is really good already. I have to give myself a pat on the back. It was really well thought out. I have to say this is one of my favorites.

Well I guess that is all today. Until next time... keep writing!

Up Early Once Again

Well again I am up early. I have already begun another project. One of my friends told me about this site called paperbackswap and I decided this morning to check it out. You create an account, and then post books and people can request the books and all you have to do is print out the wrapper and then pay for postage. I have already put up like 12 or so books. You earn credits for when someone gets a book from you. You get 2 credits to begin with once you post 10 books. Then after that you get more by people receiving your books. This is pretty awesome. It is pretty much a free thing. I mean you pay for postage, but at the same time so does the person who sends you a book so it is pretty much even. I have already ordered 2 books. I can't wait to send and receive books. So anyway on with the poetry. I just thought other people might want to know about that little bit of info.

When the Snow Melts

When the snow melts and the flowers begin to bloom,
Then all the cheers and cheeps block out the gloom.
When the animals awaken and greet the new season,
Then all will be glad for a very good reason.

When the snow melts and the sun shines again,
Then all of creation will be wearing a grin.
When the butterfly spreads its wings and flies away.
Then all of my gloomy thoughts flee, for these are better days.

When the snow melts and springs has come,
I begin to be more adventuresome.
When the snow melts, so does my heart
Just like it was in the very start.

So here is the new poem.

Follow Your Heart

Follow your heart for it will never fail you.
It will never give up on your like other people you meet in life.
If you follow your heart, then your dreams will come true.
Even in the midst of all your life's strife.

Follow your passions and  you will gain a lot.
You will gain more than the world could ever offer.
Follow your passion and you will gain more than you've ever got.
You will get something that your heart could only offer.

So why listen to your head,
When you could listen to your heart instead?
So follow your heart.

Let sleeping dogs lie....and snore

Well it has officially been a week since I last updated. It hasn't been that I haven't had the time, on the contrary I have had plenty of time. It is mainly because I have had my nose in the Harry Potter series. I am re-reading it and I am having problems putting it down. I mean I even was walking around the house yesterday with Prisoner of Azkaban in my hand doing things like letting Butterscotch out and doing things that could be done with one hand. It was that bad.

It is early for me. I usually don't get up till at least 9 usually later. I was awoken this morning by pain. That is all I will say. Butterscotch however is sleeping quite well right now next to me. She is snoring a little at that. So anyway I will now post the poems for today.

Shine Like a Star

Shine like a star no matter who you are!

Be brave;
Stand tall.
Face your problems big or small.
Believe in your dreams in order to achieve.

Shine like a star no matter where you are!

Fly up to the sky.
Be yourself and soar high.
Play your music;
Never be quiet.
Be all you can be.

Shine like a star no matter who or where you are!

Notice I actually revised it before today, but just was to lazy to post it. At least I revised it already. Now for the next poem on the chopping block.

When the Snow Melts

When the snow melts and the flowers bloom
Then all the cheers and cheeps block out the gloom.
When the animals awake and greet the new season
Then all know that gone is the winter season.

When the snow melts and the sun shines again
Then all of creation is wearing a grin.
When the butterfly spreads its wings and soars
Then all of my thoughts are gone for they begin to soar.

When the snow melts and springs has come
Then I will fly over all of the tings that have gone and come
When the snow melts then so does my heart
Just like it did in the very start.

I will try my best to update tomorrow. Hopefully I can put down Goblet of Fire long enough to do so. Maybe...
Until next time... keep writing.

Little Angel at home with the Lord

This is not going to be a normal post for me. I  feel as if I need to tell the world about a very dear girl who went to see her Lord yesterday afternoon at 4:15. She was 12 and died from Rhabdomyosarcoma, a muscle cancer. She was a blessing to all who knew her. I got the privilege to be a part of the Hand bell team at my church this Christmas and she was also there. She was at almost every practice and she made us all smile, either because she just said something very funny or because she was smiling. That girl had some kind of spirit. One that makes me rethink things when I feel bad.

This girl is so amazing. She went through watching her mother fight Breast cancer and then watched as her mother lost the battle. Then a few months after loosing her mother, Megan was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma. She never stopped smiling though. On May 4, 2009 my town held a day dedicated solely to her. People gathered at the elementary school and walked to the public square. There were hundreds of people in the parade, me included, and then when we arrived at the square there were even more people on the square. All you could see was blue, her favorite color. Many people were wearing "Team Megan" shirts. I can only say that I am glad God blessed this community with such a lovely girl. May we always remember to wear a smile and find joy even in the toughest times. I will never forget that girl. She was so sweet.

I have included some links. The first is her caringbridge site (This is where her family posted so everyone who was praying could keep up with how she was doing.) The next is a link to an article in the local newspaper  about Megan.

I really don't know what else to say. I just know that Megan is at home and at peace. She is with her mother and they are most likely playing a game of softball.
God Bless the Brittain family.

Follow your heart

So I am back again. Sorry it has been so long. Well here is the revised poem.

Trail of Tears and Fears

They call it the trail of tears,

But I call it the trail of fears.

The pain, the sorrow;

Oh the horror!

How could we do such horrid?

The ground was damp from all the tears.

The air was filled with all their fears.

The people tripped over the dead,

As they walked with such dread.

Oh, the trail of tears.

Oh, the trail of fears.

The pain and sorrow

That caused such horror.

They walked along past the mighty Mississippi,

As the wind blew, quite nippy.

Through all the tears, fears, and all the crying babes.

They walked day to night and night to day.

Oh, the trail of tears.

Oh, the trail of fears.

Through rain, sleet, snow, and all sorts of weather.

The pain and sorrow

That caused such a horror.

Oh, the trail of tears and fears!
